Sustainability

Through partnerships with other nonprofits, the County of San Mateo, and the City of Half Moon Bay, Senior Coastsiders has created educational outreach programs on the environment and the impacts of climate change. These issues are interwoven with other partnerships including with Peninsula Clean Energy and PG&E when addressing energy issues, fire prevention and Planned Power Shut Offs.

Older adults are especially vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. In 2021, we created the Evergreen Coastsiders program which focuses on awareness, advocacy, and action. Click the links below to learn more about Senior Coastsiders’ and partnering sustainability programs.
