Meet Our Board of Directors

The Senior Coastsiders Board of Directors is made up of dedicated community volunteers who are engaged in helping us realize our mission.

  • CONNIE SANTILLI, Board President

I moved to the Coastside in 2012, and I love hiking the local trails and taking long beach walks.I also enjoy shopping in Half Moon Bay and Pescadero, especially for local art works, and I’m grateful for and supportive of the amazing local farm community. I’ve worked in senior executive roles at firms that focus on improving organization effectiveness.  I am passionate about fostering and advancing diversity and gender equity and serve on the boards of related nonprofits.

  • APRIL CAMPBELL

My family and I moved to the Coastside in 2008. I've spent most of my career working in the Tech industry, helping companies streamline internal processes with technology. I was first introduced to Senior Coastsiders when I volunteered as a lunch greeter in 2021. In 2022, I volunteered as a computer tutor, where I had the opportunity to work with Seniors one on one. I am inspired by the work Senior Coastsiders does with the community and by the community itself. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Senior Coastiders and their mission.

  • KATHY CONROY

The lure of a small rural coastal town brought our family to the Coastside in 1995. Arriving with two young sons, and knowing no one, I became immediately immersed in the community, joining the Coastside Mothers' Club Board. As my sons grew, so did my volunteer involvement, participating in the Farallone View PTA and Education Fund, HMBHS Grad Night committee,  and Coastside Hope. Over the years, my professional career evolved as well. I left the computer software field and followed my passion, beginning a second career in custom dressmaking. I began volunteering in the kitchen at Senior Coastsiders during the pandemic, and grew to love the organization - both the people and the mission. You can find me behind my sewing machine, gardening, hiking on Montara Mountain and Montara Beach with our dog, and exploring near and far in our camper van.

  • DAVID DICKSON

My wife Marla and I came to the Coastside from Oakland in 1996 with our five children, happy to be part of the unique small-town environment that makes this community special. I joined HMB Rotary Club the same year and was president in 2001 and 2002. I served for 18 years as manager of Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside and Coastside County Water District. I look forward to working with Senior Coastsiders, and to enjoying all things outdoors, home brewing, and our expanding tribe of grandchildren.

  • CHARMION DONEGAN

I moved from San Francisco to the Coastside in 1972 with my husband Mike and our two sons. I had a 30-year career with the local school district, where I held positions from school secretary to administrative assistant to the superintendent. My interests have led to volunteering on many different levels, including the Pumpkin Run, Taste of the Coast and Seniors’ Night Out. I can’t think of a better place for helping our community than Senior Coastsiders.

  • GAIL EVENARI

I have enjoyed life on the Coastside since 1980. After several years in Moss Beach, I moved to rural Half Moon Bay, where I raised my daughter and have been ever since. My background is in education and media, and I first came to Senior Coastsiders  to do the marketing and communications for the 40th anniversary celebration. I was fortunate to have a couple of years working with Cara and three more working with Sandi. Once I became a true senior, i.e. collecting my Social Security, I "retired" from Senior Coastsiders, so I could focus on filmmaking and volunteering in the community.  Of course, that brought me right back to Senior Coastsiders as a new board member with the organization I have grown to love so dearly! I also help out when I can with Abundant Grace Coastside Worker and Boys and Girls Club. In my free time, you’ll find me walking on the bluffs with my dog, puttering in the garden, knitting or making things out of copper.

  • STEVE KIKUCHI

My wife Jane and I moved to the Coastside in 1985, seeking open space and clean air. We fell in love with the Coastside’s unique small-town quality and the community that is always looking to help one another. I became involved with Senior Coastsiders about 26 years ago, volunteering for Home Rehab Day at their Pumpkin Festival booth. In the process I learned how giving a small bit goes a long way for seniors. I’ve had a landscape architect practice in town for 32 years, and I serve on the HMB Architectural Advisory Committee.

  • ROBIN KIRBY

My husband Mark and I have had a home in Half Moon Bay since 2011, and have lived in HMB full time since 2014. I truly love this Coastside community!  I am on the Board of Senior Coastsiders and the Coastside Land Trust, and am on the fund-raising committee for the Half Moon Bay History Association. My background is in Process Improvement, Project Management and Client Management. As a realtor with Compass Real Estate, I thoroughly enjoy helping clients both buy and sell homes on the San Mateo Coastside!

  • WILLIAM LANDRY

My wife and I moved to the coastside almost 30 years ago, as soon as we discovered the ocean, fresh air, and wonderful people on the coast. My career was in information technology, with roles as a management consultant and in IT leadership in biotechnology and other life science companies. I’ve known of Senior Coastsiders for many years and became more involved as one of the volunteer AARP TaxAide team members who, in partnership with the staff at Senior Coastsiders, provide free tax services to seniors each year. I’m thrilled to now be a part of the team that delivers so much to our senior neighbors.

  • LISA LOPEZ

I recently returned to the Coastside after eight years in the East Bay. I currently work for the City of Half Moon Bay as Administrative Services Director. My love of working with the senior population began with the Elwin Mussell Senior Center in Santa Maria, CA. That experience shaped my 20+ years of experience in public service. My hobbies include reading, watching mindless bad TV and hanging out with my fiancé Steve and my Schnauzer Belichick. I am thrilled to return to the Senior Coastsiders Board and working to keep it such a wonderful community treasure.

  • ANGELA NIEMANN

My husband, Chris Devcich, and I moved from Southern California to the Coastside in 1999. After raising our two older children in LA, we are grateful for the opportunity to raise our two younger daughters in Half Moon Bay. I joined Senior Coastsiders’ Board in 2009, after volunteering  for Taste of the Coast. Following a 20-year advertising career, I now work as a marketing contractor at Google. I earned my MBA in Marketing and Finance from USC and my BA from Georgetown University.
